Bitter Lessons ~

It must have been a bitter lesson for George W. Bush to learn. We learned it in grade school: America doesn't want a king or an absolute ruler. That's why we fought the Revolutionary War. It is ingrained in us.

Amen Charles. But the consequences will be dire, and will be evolving for years to come.

In what way has Bush been a king or absolute ruler. He has asked for bipartison help all along but the far left Democrates refused to do anything to help him along. Was that Bush's fault. We have a broken entitlement program and Social Security is about broke and the Democrats refused to come to the table with their ideas. The Republicans had some ideas on the table but the only comments heard from the Democrats was we aren't going to discuss these ideas. Bring your own ideas please Bush asked, but none were forthcoming.

Iraq is a mess claimed the Democrates. What are your ideas was asked of the Democrats. The best they could ocme up with is that it has to be changed. How? The worst suggestions were involved with quiting and walking away. Quiters by choice is not a good choice.

Yes it will be a long time getting straightened out and as soon as the lefties realize sitting around and bitching is not very productive at all. Now they have the ball and I hope they finally realize that they need to have ideas and leave the bitching to others.

No one seems to understand what it is like to be a minority party in Congress. It means your ideas are not brought to the floor and your vote is usually not enough. Minorities do not set the agendas for discussion and unless they can get enough majorities or co-sponser with a majority member the bills they suggest are ignored.

So typical that we never hear of the good... never hear of the progress.. no pictures..no news media. overthere there are tv stations..schools...places to shop..to eat...schools...airports..people leading normal lives..progress being made with buildings...transportation...utilities...people able to walk and learn and do for themselves. But we only get to hear of the bad..one bombing that happened on a certain day...1 soldier being killed...nothing positive...how typical!
