De Diligendo Deo ~

The notion of Jesus Christ, a man, as being God deprives me, blurs out, a conception of God as the Father, Creator, Love Itself. That idea of God as God lifts me away from this world, from history, to a higher, mysterious realm where I naturally place Him and sensibly long for Him.

Interesting insight I have never thought of. Thanks.

This is pure heresy. Jesus Christ is true God and true man. His favorite reference to Himself is "Son of Man."

To regard Christ's humanity as a turn-off in your relationship with God is to disregard His incarnation, suffering, death on the cross, and resurrection. He shed His human Blood for your salvation.

You can not get to Heaven without embracing Christ's humanity.

We who are Jews never believed that Jesus Christ was God.

To be a Christian you must believe that Jesus Christ is God. I have done that all my life and it has helped me through. It never really was a problem.
