Distractions ~
Been without TV now for the last 11 months. I don't miss it at all. It has given me an extra hour a day for other uses. And it is good not to have all those reminders about what I am lacking and what I absolutely need to be happy. My thoughts are not cluttered up by all the goings on. I can live in my own sphere without all the barrages from outside.

Charles,
Welcome to the world of No-TV-for-Me! My wife and I gave it up many years ago. We just don't have any time or use for it. I like what a priest from Texas once said about TV: "Its the world's worst time-waster."
Amen, life is good without TV. In our first 7 years of marriage we had none and it was wonderful. Since then, we have had a set but no cable, areal or satellite and only a pair of poor rabbit ears. We use the set for DVDs and that's about it. I draw, write, pray, read, cycle, and know my family. Amen, life is good with no TV.
