War ~

And this nagging thought keeps coming back: We are a nation that was duped into war. Even though we know that, we take it all in stride. Where is the rage?

Everyone's holding it back. They're afraid to admit it.

Rage
I have it hiding behind my daily rituals and leering at me along with the evening news on TV

I read today that 72% of the soldiers surveyed in Iraq said they wanted an early withdrawl within the a year's time.

Where is the rage? I have some, lots. I find myself writing more politics than art. It takes presidence these days. . . in public and in e=mails with many others. We are simmering with it and more or less helpless.

The rage was present after 9/11. Flags flew everywhere and those who had know idea of the horror of war chanted revenge. Those who knew cried. The table was set then and now there is no graceful way to bow out. To my brothers and sisters who took an oath to stand firm in the face of right or wrong .. hooraa
Peace in Time.

2500 Americans down today, what is it 10,000 injured? 20,000? Those in Walter Reed, unable to grow new limbs and eyes, had to seek calling cards as a donation from the public. Last I checked, there were 300 AWOLS in Iraq and over 100 suicides. And.. 40,000 - 100,000 (including sanction years) dead Iraqi civilians? Read of the day of Tal Afar.. about what happened at the checkpoint. That's all any of us need to know about what war does to all. And we are indeed warring -- upon two lands (never forget the little hats and sandals in the sands of Afghanistan) and continuing the warring of hell itself in Gitmo. AND elsewhere. America made the torturers watch lists. We made it before Iraq, too -- for executing children and mentally retarded. Dear God, may we please have a human president next time, not anymore well-OILed androids programmed to lie, appropriate, who are so obnoxious, they dare to build support upon the tragedy of a 19-terrorist-ed 9/11. We have long built the tendency to judge and execute, so my rage is dulled. But my indignance is at its acme. Impeach now!

Did we forget WW1, WW11, Korean War, Vietnam, Iraq and possibly Iran or N Korea? What's the difference, its war by an other name. Wether we are duped or dragged into a sensless war, America has a role in the world we live in, peace or war, if America or Americans has a choice lets built a fortress of seclusion and exclusion, which is not the case. American ideas will triumph if it is right and trite
