The beauty of her eyes, perhaps, where the beauty or ugliness of the soul is often discernable. Such a beautiful, pristine soul would blaze out of those eyes. Otherwise, a humble poor woman on the outskirts of the world was, as is so today, nondescript.. does not stand out.
